Phillips Packaging, Inc.  (PHILPAK) offers two types of programs for our customers:  the Just-In-Time (J.I.T) program and the “Make and Ship” Program.  The J.I.T. program is a service in which we agree to keep a specific inventory in our warehouse:  when an item is needed, all a customer has to do is call the sales service department and release any amount required.  PHILPAK will keep a minimum of thirty days of inventory in our warehouse so we will always be able to meet your production needs and deliveries will always be made on the next business day.  With the “Make and Ship” program, the customer places an order for manufacture for a specific quantity.  Raw materials are then ordered from our suppliers, which under current conditions take about 5-7 days.  Once material is received in house, the product is completed within 2-3 days.  Therefore, a “make and ship” order is taking approximately 10 days.

  1. SHIPPING - When an order is placed, depending on what type of program your company chooses, a due date is established.  With J.I.T., the deliveries will be made on the next business day or at the customer’s request.  With the “make and ship” program a due date is established at the time the order is placed.
    1. Timeliness - PHILPAK will deliver your order on time.
    2. Quantities - PHILPAK reserves the right to ship +/- 10%
    3. Destination - the shipping address and receiving hours are established at the time a company becomes a customer.  The sales service department may call prior to the initial delivery to obtain exact directions for our driver.
    4. Correct product - the shipping supervisor verifies quality and quantities before the truck is loaded.
  2. RETURN POLICY - If an item does not meet your fullest satisfaction and we are in error, the item will be replaced immediately at no cost to our customer.
  3. FLEXIBILITY - PHILPAK will do everything within reason to accommodate our customers.  For example, if you require delivery outside of normal operating hours, such as 5:00 am or 11:00 pm, we will be there. If you suddenly run out of an item and need some the next day, we will do everything possible to see that your normal flow is not interrupted, which means we will work overtime in order to       get you the quantity you need.  In the 14 years of our J.I.T. history, PHILPAK has never caused a line to shut down because of insufficient material.
  4. COMMUNICATION - The sales service department at PHILPAK is dedicated to the total satisfaction of our customers.
    1. Complaints are addressed immediately, while your salesperson will do follow-ups in person.
    2. All specification information and drawings are readily available for your inspection and approval.
    3. Our customer will be notified immediately when something isn’t going as planned and appropriate arrangements will be made.
  5. PRICE - Over the past fifteen years PHILPAK has routinely reduced packaging costs to our customers by redesign, increased usage by a customer, improved efficiency within our company, upgrading of production equipment and volume discounts due to our growth.
    1. Complaints are addressed immediately, while your salesperson will do follow-ups in person.
    2. All specification information and drawings are readily available for your inspection and approval.
    3. Our customer will be notified immediately when something isn’t going as planned and appropriate arrangements will be made.
  6. COMPETITIVE - The words competitive pricing can mean many things. We are indeed competitive with any corrugated supplier when all the areas which constitute your true container costs are taken into account i.e., product quality, service, reaction time, downtime, raw material quality, consistency and personal attention to the constant need for your cost containment and reduction.  PHILPAK does not and will not produce a product of inferior quality in order to make our prices look better to our customers or potential customers.
    1. We do not believe in asking our customers to order more product for a better price but to use our service to order less boxes for the same price.
  7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR COST REDUCTION AND DESIGN ISSUES - Once PHILPAK becomes familiar with your needs and use of packaging, we will routinely make samples of redesigned product that would provide cost reduction or improved packing efficiency for your company.  Your salesperson will be readily available and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss with your company any areas concerning your packaging in order to determine where improvement and increased efficiencies could be made.  We feel innovative packaging design is one of PHILPAK’s strongest assets.
